Land Rover offers much of today's most sought after active-safety technologies, but advanced features such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist are still optional-surprising given the Range Rover's lofty price tag. NHTSA and IIHS haven't completed crash testing of the Range Rover, so we are unable to provide a rating for this section.
What's New for 2018?
The Range Rover's safety features haven't changed one bit for 2018. NHTSA and IIHS still haven't completed crash-test results, either. Land Rover still offers the same warranties for 2018 models as it did for 2017.
Crash Test Results
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the nonprofit, independent Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) evaluate vehicles for crashworthiness in the United States. NHTSA assigns cars an overall rating out of five stars. IIHS uses a different set of tests, grades cars on a scale of Good to Poor, and awards the vehicles that perform best across its tests with Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ honors, the latter of which requires that the subject’s automated forward-collision-braking system performs well.

Warranty and Maintenance Coverage
Land Rover's warranty offerings are fair and follow the industry standards for luxury vehicles, but for the money spent on a Range Rover it'd be nice to see class-leading coverage. Buyers of the Cadillac Escalade and the BMW X5 M each receive three full years of complimentary dealer maintenance; Range Rover buyers will foot those bills themselves.
