MARION TWP. — The Salvation Army of Western PA is currently looking to hire staff for various positions at Camp Allegheny for the summer 2022 season.

Camp Allegheny offers low-cost, Christian-focused camping opportunities to children living in western Pennsylvania. It is located at 140 Jenkins Circle.

Available positions include: Senior and junior counselors, music counselors, program specialists and waterfront staff, infirmary, staff center, office and dining hall, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, assistant village leader, camper consultant and junior staff coordinator.

Training and certifications can be provided in lifeguarding, archery, riflery, climbing wall, ServSafe and first aid/CPR. Positions can be available as a paid internship opportunity for college students.

Staff must be available to work in a residential camp setting from June 6 through Aug. 6, and must be at least 16 years old depending on the position. Work schedules run Monday through Friday, with weekends off.

“We are looking for young adults who are interested in changing lives through creating unforgettable camp experiences for young children from throughout our region! We serve children who desperately need to experience love and acceptance from adults, peers, and God,” said Capt. Bramwell Applin, divisional youth secretary and camp director at The Salvation Army Western PA Division. “Our goal is to give them an unforgettable week in a safe, Christian environment.”
