Scary NASCAR Video: Corey LaJoie Goes Airborne, Car Takes Wild Ride on Hood at Michigan
Corey LaJoie tried to laugh off Monday's wild ride at Michigan International Speedway as just the lastest incident indicative of how his NASCAR Cup Season has been going.
NASCAR, however, won't be laughing this one off as LaJoie survived seemingly unscathed from the latest incident of a car going airborne. This latest fly and roll included a dramatic ride on the hood down the backstretch at Michigan.
Cars aren't supposed to go airborne as easily as LaJoie's car appeared to make it look.
A wild end to @CoreyLaJoie’s day.

The incident was part of a Monday restarted race that was suspended by rain on Sunday.
"We have a good car and I found a way to flip it upside down," LaJoie said after being checked out and release from the infield care center. "Twice this year we've been upside down, and I hadn't been upside down my whole career."
The incident occurred just past the midway point of Monday's action. LaJoie was chasing down the No. 10 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford of Noah Gragson when it looked like he might have tapped the left rear of Gragson's car. The tap sent the LaJoie's No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet into a slight left turn—but the turn turned violent as the car quickly went airborne.
Lajoie was then a helpless passenger as the car skidded on his hood before hitting the grass flipping multiple times. Fortunately the driver appeared to be unhurt and was quickly cleared after brief stop at the infield care center.
"It was a ride, buddy," LaJoie said. "There's sparks and dirt and all sorts of stuff coming in. I just hate that our Garner Truck Camaro got a little dinged up. I think we had a top-12, top-10, car today, and I hate that we ended up on our roof."
