Shaquille O’Neal Challenges Desi Banks To A Hellcat Race

A lot of normies or what we call non-gearheads have no idea Shaquille O’Neal is a big car guy. They only know him for his basketball skills, sports commentary, and maybe the few acting roles he’s done over the years – that’s it. Some were shocked to hear him recently challenge comedian Desi Banks to a Dodge Hellcat race.

Learn why Shaq is going to keep buying supercars he can’t even fit inside.

A back-and-forth started between the two playfully while they were on The Big Podcast just a few days ago. That’s when Shaq threw down the gauntlet, challenging Banks to race his Hellcat against the big man’s.

“If I ever see your Hellcat on 85, 75, 285, 675, 155 – title for title,” Shaq said while looking calm and collected wearing sunglasses in the studio.

For this part, Banks seemed to agree to the challenge. We’re not sure that’s a great idea.

While the comedian’s Hellcat is rumored to be modified, we doubt it’s in quite the same class as Shaq’s. After all, the man had Forbes Performance take a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody and go crazy.

Aesthetically, the Dodge is aggressive with red accents and lighting, including an illuminated SRT badge. Although the headlights add a different touch, projecting green graphics on the ground ahead.

Just in case anyone’s wondering who owns the big ride, Shaq’s #34 is located on the hood. The rear diffuser even features an iconic Shaq meme from his time on the Hot Ones show.

But it’s what’s under the hood which counts the most. We don’t have all the details, but O’Neal has claimed before the Hellcat Redeye is pushing 1,400-horsepower, well over the stock 797 (or 807 if it’s a Jailbreak model).

That might give him quite the advantage over Banks, which might be why he just casually threw down the challenge. If Banks takes him up on it, he might regret that decision rapidly.
