Something's Going on With this Extreme Ferrari SF90 Prototype
It seems Ferrari has a more extreme SF90 Stradale variant on the way.
Spy video out of Italy from YouTuber Varryx published Friday shows a fully camouflaged SF90 sporting unique aerodynamic upgrades including new front and rear bumper elements, alongside a frankly huge fixed rear wing.
While we're not given any view into the engine bay, exhaust sounds coming from the prototype point to this uprated SF90 using a version of the existing car's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8. The standard Stradale uses a hybrid system with three motors—two up front and one in the rear—though it's unclear if this test mule is also a hybrid.
Ferrari published a teaser to Instagram on Thursday showing the steering wheel of an upcoming vehicle set to be revealed on March 16. It's entirely possible this new SF90 Stradale variant could be the car the automaker plans to show, though rumors suggest it could also be teasing the upcoming Roma convertible. We'll just have to wait until next week to find out for sure.
