Tar Heels go back to chrome helmets for rivalry game with NC State

The UNC football program wore the chrome helmets earlier this year in the win over Duke on the road. And with a rivalry game looming against NC State this week, they are going back to that look.

On Wednesday, the Tar Heels released its uniform combination for Friday’s rivalry game against N.C. State, going with the chrome helmets, blue jerseys and blue pants. The look is certainly dominated by the chrome helmet as it has become a fan favorite this year, especially after wearing them in the Duke win.

The chrome helmet features a Tar Heel logo on it dressed in blue to match the uniform combination:

The Tar Heels will look to close out the regular season with a win over N.C. State before taking on Clemson in the ACC Championship Game.
