Teen Busted Doing 132 MPH In Daddy’s Supra

Everyone has borrowed dad’s car and decided to see what it can really do. However, a 16-year-old did just that with daddy’s MKV Supra, getting pulled over on the highway by a deputy who clocked the sports car at 132 mph, making for an extreme case.

The Reversal Of No Chase Policies

There’s no doubt that kid was having a blast before he saw those flashing lights in his rearview mirror. We can only imagine how deep the sense of dread was once he realized there would be no getting out of the situation easily.

When interviewed by local station WPLG, one Florida law enforcement official said his department has pulled over several teenage drivers going well over 100 mph recently. According to his reckoning, the problem is getting worse.

You could blame this issue on the fact cars are getting more powerful and faster, but we don’t think blaming the tool for the what the operator does is entirely fair. After all, these kids are choosing to break the law, pushing their speeding into criminal territory.

One has to wonder if the parents even speak with their kids about speeding and other road violations. Do the parents care? Or are these kids just not listening at all?

With influencers and others posting their dangerous escapades on public roads to social media, youth are getting a steady diet or reinforcement that stuff like this not only is normal, it’s to be celebrated.

Modern technology also provides parents with invaluable tools for monitoring how their teenagers and young adults drive. As long as kids are using their parents’ car, we think having something to measure speed and other metrics is not only fair but incredibly wise.
