In the latest example of why we have zero respect for the street takeover crowd, a teenager in Georgia who allegedly participated in one led police on a chase, hitting two squad cars in the process. He was also behind the wheel of what reportedly is a stolen Dodge Charger.

Drivers exchange gunfire on Georgia interstate.

Police originally responded to the scene in Gwinnett County to break up the takeover, which was being held illegal in an intersection. As officers arrived they heard several gunshots followed by people wearing facemasks fleeing, reports WSB-TV.

Unlike some departments which seem content with scattering takeovers only to have them pop up elsewhere, police stuck around to see if they could identify the shooter.

That persistence paid off when officers located a group of armed suspects at a nearby gas station. When they descended, A Dodge Charger fled the scene, hitting a police cruiser on the way out.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why someone would be running in that situation, so officers gave chase. Eventually, the 19-year-old driver of the Mopar muscle car lost control, running into another cop car in front of a church. How ironic.
