Ty Dillon, younger brother of NASCAR Cup driver Austin Dillon, will return to stock car racing’s premier series next year with Kaulig Racing.

Dillon replaces Daniel Hemric, who won’t return to Kaulig Racing which has an alliance with Richard Childress Racing. Kaulig will also execute a number change. It will release the No. 31 to NASCAR and take the No. 10, which is used by Noah Gragson this year at Stewart-Haas Racing. That number became available due to SHR shutting down at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old Dillon has competed in 244 Cup races. He competed fulltime in the series for six seasons, 2017-2020 and 2022-23. Dillon raced for Germain Racing for four seasons before the team ceased operation following the 2020 season. Kaulig Racing purchased the building and renovated the structure. It now operates out of that building.
