The Lamborghini Urus is set to go in to production near the end of next year. But before that happen, the Italian automaker needs to get all its testing done, which is why prototypes are on the Nurburgring right now. YouTuber NM2255 got us a great look at a camouflaged Urus, but there's something missing here: noise.

The video's not silent, but you can barely hear the Urus' engine. It's possible that Lamborghini is also muffling the Urus' exhaust to comply with the 'Ring's noise limits. We really hope that's the case, since part of the theater of a Lamborghini is that trademark howl.

Lamborghini has said that the Urus will receive a 650-hp twin-turbo V8 that's different from the Porsche-designed V8 used in other VW Group cars. A plug-in hybrid model is also on the table. Underpinning the Urus is the same platform that's used for the Audi Q7, Bentley Bentayga, and the next-generation Porsche Cayenne.

The Urus should make its debut next year, with US sales beginning in the fall and a starting price of less than $200,000.
