Used Car Salesman Test Drives Customer’s Mustang, Gets Arrested

Until now we had no idea that to sell a Ford Mustang to someone you have to break the law and get arrested. At least that’s what appears to be the justification for a used car salesman in Albuquerque, New Mexico doing just that. Whatever happened to slapping the roof and saying, “She’s a solid machine!”
This incident could’ve turned out far worse, like this fatal Corvette test drive.
The officer tells the driver he was clocked doing 103 mph in a 45 mph zone. In case you were wondering, that’s probably criminal speeding in any state and most countries. It’s also an incredibly dangerous and stupid thing to do.
But it’s all good because the guy explained what he was doing and said, “I’m sorry, bro,” while smiling at the cop. Only it wasn’t okay, so the car salesman seems completely shocked when the officer tells him he’s under arrest.
Far too many people seem to think they get to drive however they want without consequences. That’s simply not the case. If you do certain things while behind the wheel, like more than doubling the speed limit, the police can and likely will arrest you.
Instead, this guy keeps apologizing to the officer and asks if there’s anything he can do. We assume this means anything he can do to get out of the ticket. The cop seems pretty annoyed at that and we can see why for obvious reasons. We’re also wondering just what the hell this guy thinks he’s going to do for the cop to get him to not do his job? On second thought, we don’t actually want to know!
The cop says exactly what we’re thinking, that the car salesman is old enough to know better than to speed like that and not expect to get arrested. Who seriously doesn’t know that?
When the sales manager arrives he’s none too happy about the whole situation, so we bet this guy got fired. But at least the sales guy didn’t crash and kill someone.
