Pakistan Elections end: Huge turnout amid looming violence

Pakistan nationals went to the polls in huge numbers on Saturday, in a vote that carried the historic prospect of the country's first fully democratic political cycle despite fresh violence from Taliban insurgents. Violent attacks in Pakistan affected the voting, and the voting in some districts was suspended. Authorities said at least 13 people were killed and more than 50 injured in the attacks across the country as of 13:00 on Saturday.
