Rising water level of Yamuna disrupts life in East Delhi

Residents faced massive water logging in low-lying areas of East Delhi as the water level in the Yamuna stayed above the danger mark of 204.83 metres in Delhi on Thursday. Residents expressed their fury over government's inaction, as they were forced to leave behind their houses and things, which were engulfed by the raging flood water. The water level in the Yamuna started receding in Delhi since Thursday morning and is expected to go down further.
