After a hiatus of several years, the Aston Martin Vanquish and its V-12 engine return to the top of the brand's GT lineup, this time with a mighty 823 horsepower.
The 2025 Aston Martin Vanquish enters its third generation grander and more powerful than ever. Prices start at $434,000.
Core to its existence is a melodious new V-12 engine making 823 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque.
The Vanquish remains rear-wheel drive, with its power routing through a rear-mounted ZF eight-speed automatic transaxle with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential.
The new Vanquish rides on a bespoke platform. Its carbon-fiber body stretches 6.5 inches longer than the current DB12 model, with an additional 3.2 inches between its axles.
Aston quotes a top speed of 214 mph, and we estimate the Vanquish will reach 60 mph in 3.0 seconds.
For all its power, the Vanquish has the refined elegance of a GT car designed for the street rather than the racetrack.
Though the Vanquish's new V-12 displaces the same 5.2 liters as the DBS 770 Ultimate, it's a thoroughly overhauled engine. The block, heads, internals, and twin turbos are new.
An active stainless-steel exhaust system comes standard, but the car we drove featured the optional titanium system.
Also standard are massive carbon-ceramic brakes.
The Vanquish's 21-inch wheels are wrapped with Pirelli P Zero PZ4 summer tires.
