The fourth-generation Mini Cooper S has a cabin that retains many of the fun little characteristics that captivated us when it first released, but the tech is better than ever.
Like the exterior, the 2025 Mini Cooper's interior is entirely redesigned for 2025.
Everything has been modernized, including the infotainment system, which is now projected on a cool-looking circular OLED panel on the center of the dashboard.
While the software isn't entirely intuitive and is often laggy, the new infotainment features are appreciably more modern than before.
A cute puppy named Spike serves as an onboard voice assistant, and features such as augmented reality navigation are available.
Look past the infotainment updates, and you'll notice that the rest of the Cooper's interior has been improved.
Textile trim covers most of the dashboard and door panels, shielding occupants from what otherwise would be a sea of black plastic.
There's plenty of charm, but overall, the new interior design has a much more upscale vibe than before.
Two- and four-door Coopers are offered, with the latter providing more rear-seat space for passengers.
Cargo space is still at a premium here, so if your daily driving duties include regular trips to Costco or hauling bulky items such as baby strollers, the larger Countryman SUV is probably a better fit.
The Cooper, especially the Cooper S pictured here, has always been more of a fun, hot hatchback anyway, and now it's finally packing the premium interior it needs to justify its price tag.
