BMW is bringing an M car with a station wagon body style to the U.S. for the first time, in the form of this long-roofed M5 Touring.
Based on the new M5 sedan, the 2025 M5 Touring station wagon adds a large cargo area in the back for a little more practicality.
But this performance plug-in hybrid is no mere grocery getter.
The powertrain pumps out a whopping 717 horsepower, and BMW says it can hit 60 mph in as little as 3.5 seconds.
Inside, the M5 Touring is just as deluxe as the M5 sedan, with sport seats wrapped in leather upholstery and a large digital display that doubles as infotainment and gauges.
Drop the rear seats, and there should be plenty of room for an extra set of wheels and tires for your next track day.
The M5 Touring is not a new concept, as a similar variant of the M5 sports sedan has been sold in Europe for some time.
But 2025 marks a new generation for the famed performance car, and it's the first time the longroof body style will be imported to the U.S.
Production starts in fall 2024, with deliveries starting in early 2025.
The price is steep, though, at $122,675 to start.
When the M5 Touring hits the streets, it will go head to head with the Audi RS6 Avant, which lacks the BMW's all-electric driving range and makes significantly less horsepower.
