WATCH: Can the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers rekindle their historic rivalry?

The Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers have had one of the oldest rivalries in the history of the NBA, and the most intense rivalry between East Coast teams overall in the league.

But, until very recently, there has not been much of a rivalry to speak of between the two clubs, with the Sixers and Celtics fading from prominence in the early 1990s and the Celtics slow to return to competitive status until the early 2000s. There were a few sparks flying for a while in that era, only to see the embers grow cold again when both teams tore things down for a rebuild.

Now both on the other side of those rebuilds and gearing up for title contention, some sparks are flying again — but can the Celtics and the 76ers rekindle their historic rivalry?

The hosts of the CLNS Media podcast “The A-List” Kwani A. Lunis and A. Sherrod Blakely discuss the two teams’ historic relationship and how it might be on the cusp of renewal in their latest episode — give it a listen and see if you agree with their takes.
