The automotive world is a pretty cool place filled with all kinds of awesome jobs. From fun things like race car driver to dream jobs like supercar designer, there are an awful lot of places to find immense joy working in a job you love across the car world. Not all automotive jobs are created equal, however, and some are just plain awful.

Whether it’s the risks of working as the front jack man in a Formula 1 pit crew or the pressures of pulling long shifts in an automotive factory, we’re looking for the jobs that might not be quite so enjoyable. With this in mind, today we want to uncover your picks for the worst jobs in the automotive world. So, what have you got?

Do you think you’d be able to power through something mundane like working as a fuel attendant in New Jersey, or could you muster the courage to work as a car crash investigator and face the horrors of the highway day in-day out?

Or perhaps you can’t hack much alone time, so the loneliness of the long distance trucker sounds like hell on Earth for you. Surely a job like that would be a dream compared to some of the roles you might find offered in factories refining rare earth metals for electric car battery production? Those jobs sound pretty horrific.

Those are just a few of the suggestions I can muster up, now it’s over to you. Head to the comments section below to let us know the jobs that you think are the worst in the automotive world. We’ll round up some of the top offenders in a slideshow next week.
