2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Precision Sport Sedan Focuses on Track
Cadillac will change the spring rates, add a larger front stabilizer bar, and replace the steering knuckles with its Precision models.
The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Precision is scheduled to hit the streets in 2025.
Cadillac says pricing and additional details are still to come.
If you thought your Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing wasn’t sharp enough on the track, Cadillac has a solution. For 2025, Cadillac will roll out the CT5-V Blackwing Precision. This Blackwing variant overhauls the suspension hardware and calibration while keeping the V8 unchanged.
Powering the CT5-V is still the 6.2-liter supercharged V8, which pushes 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque through either a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic. From there, power travels exclusively to the rear wheels.
Tagging along with the Precision variant is a serious suspension overhaul. New steering knuckles join a larger stabilizer bar in the front. Cadillac increased the Blackwing Precision’s spring rates, revised the suspension bushings, and recalibrated the MagneRide dampers to work better with the new hardware.
Cadillac also recalibrated the eLSD and other chassis controls to better work with the updated parts for better cornering.
Pricing is still to be determined, but it’s probably going to set you back more than the $96,990 base-model CT5-V Blackwing. It wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see this new variant start somewhere in the six-figures. However Cadillac should have that answer, and more information about the CT5-V Blackwing Precision closer to its 2025 launch.
