Sometimes we look at the photos of a car crash and just wonder how it all unfolded. In this case, a classic Chevy Camaro hit two other vehicles in Stuart, Florida and the driver took off afterward. The amazing part is how the muscle car, which has obvious axle damage among other serious problems, could be driven anywhere.

Obviously, that little detail didn’t stop the suspect, Jed Brownie, from running after he hit two cars, injuring four people in them. Usually, when people do a hit-and-run it has something to do with a selfish motive, like they have a warrant, are on a suspended license, or have illegal items in their vehicle.

In this case, the immediate aftermath of the accident was observed by Stuart Police Sgt. Bovee as he was on his way to work. One of the victims had the sense to snap a photo of the orange Camaro as it drove away. Seeing the damage, we can only imagine it didn’t speed off but instead hobbled from the scene.

It took police just 10 minutes to track down the busted-up Camaro, probably because it’s a car that sticks out in these modern times. Even in good condition, you don’t see too many of these just tooling around these days, sadly.

Brownie wasn’t with the classic muscle car but instead had gone to his house. We wonder just what his plan was, because police went there next and arrested him. Now he’s facing four charges of leaving the scene of a crash with injuries and two counts of leaving the scene of a crash with property damage. Plus, his Camaro is trashed.

If he’s looking to sell it to cover legal costs, we’re sure someone who can drive properly would love to restore and take care of it.
