Custom Mid-Engine Twin Turbo 1937 Ford Coupe Auction Ending Today

If you’re looking for a way to not only have fun but really stand out from the crowd at car shows and cruises, this custom 1937 Ford Coupe could be your ticket. Not only does it have a unique look, it’s packing twin-turbo power and more.

Find out why a tourist car got pulled over for an exhaust noise violation in California.

According to the lot listing on Bring A Trailer, this coupe has been crafted over a 15-year period. What you see isn’t some reproduction aluminum or fiberglass body but instead an original steel ’37 Ford body that’s been widened and otherwise modified with a chopped roof, peaked louvres, teardrop taillights, plus a tilt-out split windshield. Underneath is a custom-fab tubular steel chassis.

Powering this ride is a mid-ship twin-turbo LS3 V8 bolted to a Ricardo six-speed manual transaxle. The suspension was donated by a C5 Corvette with QA1 coilovers, plus it boats four-wheel disc brakes and rides on 17- and 18-inch staggered alloy wheels.

Even the interior is custom. Brown leather upholstery contrasts with diamond-patterned aluminum panels, drilled steering wheel, Classic Instruments gauges, and engine-turned brass accents. There’s even a full roll cage for extra torsional rigidity.

Plenty of other goodies have been loaded into this build, like dual intercoolers so you’re feeding as much oxygen into the cylinders through those snails. The custom exhaust system is made of stainless steel and FAST fuel injection helps up performance.

The seller says this car is offered with a clean California title with 1937 Ford on it.
