Teenager Pushes Shelby GT500 Past 155 MPH During Police Chase

A 17-year-old Wyoming resident is in big trouble after he used a 2013 Shelby GT500 to take two of his friends and law enforcement on a high-speed chase exceeding 155 mph. That sort of high-speed run would be saluted had the kid done it in a sanctioned event, but instead he decided to use such skills to try escaping from the law.

Watch a Shelby GT500 absolutely roast police.

According to Cowboy State Daily, the high-speed chase began on July 10 just before 11:30 pm. The American muscle car reportedly flew past a Campbell County Sheriff’s Office deputy in downtown Gillette at 55 mph on a stretch of road with a 30 mph speed limit.

Had the driver pulled over for the deputy, he probably would’ve faced some serious consequences. But it would’ve been nothing compared to the fallout he’s dealing with now.

With the deputy on his tail, the 17-year-old allegedly pushed the Shelby to 100 mph as he left the city limits behind. In the countryside, law enforcement says the teen blacked the muscle car out, attempting to slip away in the darkness of night.

During that run, law enforcement claims to have clocked the Shelby GT500 going above 155 mph. Considering the capabilities of that model, that’s believable, although doing that with no headlights on a highway with surface imperfections is both impressive and stupid.

As the suspect driver took Highway 59 toward the Montana border, a deputy was able to successfully spike the muscle car’s tires. That brought the high-speed run to a halt about three miles down the road.

All three teenagers in the Shelby jumped out and tried hiding in a nearby field. After combing the area, deputies found the suspects and arrested them. In other words, the kids aren’t exactly criminal geniuses, which is honestly a good thing.

Now the driver, Corbin Eugene Fraser, is facing charges of eluding, reckless driving, interference, expired registration, no insurance, and minor in possession of tobacco. They pretty much threw the book at him.

Kids see stunts online and think they can do anything these days. This teenager was lucky he didn’t wreck out at 155 mph, killing him and his two buddies.
