Redesigned for 2020, the current-generation Ford Explorer receives a mid-cycle update for the 2025 model year, including a significantly revised interior, new infotainment, and the addition of more technology.
The 2025 Ford Explorer lineup consists of Active, ST-Line, Platinum, and ST models, with prices starting at $41,350.
Power continues to come from either a 300-hp turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder or a 400-hp twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6, both lashed to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Rear-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is a $2000 option except on the ST, where it costs $3695.
All models feature redesigned head- and taillights, as well as updated model-specific grille treatments.
Ford's BlueCruise hands-free driving technology is an option starting on 2025 models.
Operable on around 130,000 miles of limited-access divided highways, BlueCruise can perform automated lane changes and is one of the better driver-assistance systems available.
