Cadillac unveiled the stunning Sollei concept, which sheds a roof and two doors from the electric Celestiq flagship while fitting an even more ornate and rich interior.
The Sollei concept has the same wheelbase and length as the Celestiq, and all bodywork ahead of the windshield is identical.
Cadillac didn't mention specifics about the electric powertrain, but it uses the same Ultium battery platform as the Celestiq.
The convertible sports dramatic bodywork with two huge doors and a smoothly sculpted rear end.
The exterior and interior are finished in a tranquil Manila Cream paint that was originally found on Cadillacs from the 1950s.
The cabin is decorated with rich wood trim that is unstained to reveal the natural color and grain pattern.
The wood is laid out in thin strips—a process called marquetry—in a pattern meant to emulate a sunburst.
Between the rear seats is a chiller with a set of custom crystal glasses and a decanter.
The Sollei also comes with a set of 3-D-printed acrylic bird calls, so bird-watchers can utilize the Sollei's roofless cabin for their passion.
The Sollei was shown at the Cadillac House at Vanderbilt, where Celestiq buyers get to customize their expensive luxury machines.
