Woman Uses Camaro In Domestic Assault

Cars can be used as weapons, even deadly ones, like this story out of Wallingford, Connecticut where a 24-year-old woman has been charged with first-degree assault among other criminal charges after she allegedly hit a man with a Chevy Camaro during some sort of domestic situation.
A domestic violence call led to the undoing of a car theft ring in Texas.
The story sounds messy and police obviously aren’t releasing certain details to protect the identity of the male victim. Unfortunately, we know male victims of domestic violence not only are often attacked with weapons like cars, they also often have to endure ridicule when they report it.
Fortunately, in this case police found video evidence they say shows Alexis Marie Rivera committing the crime, reports WFSB. But the story started with a man found behind a bar with a head wound, who was taken to the hospital and police were informed he supposedly had just fallen down.
The man was transported to another hospital where police were informed the man was suffering from several serious injuries. That’s when detectives started looking at surveillance footage of the area behind the bar.
What they claim to have seen is Rivera driving a Camaro as the man is on the hood. The muscle care is speeding along, then the victim falls off, hitting the pavement hard, where he stops moving. Then Rivera just takes off in the Chevy.
We’ve covered other stories like this and they’re always disgusting. How a wife, girlfriend, or whatever Rivera was/is to this man could assault a man using a vehicle is just beyond us, especially since hitting or running over someone using a car could kill the man or leave him with lasting injuries.
This really isn’t much different from attacking someone with a knife, gun, or any other weapon. We hope if Rivera is found guilty of this crime she faces more than just a slap on the wrist.
