2014 Cadillac ELR to give Detroit auto show a Volt-based jolt

We've known for some time that Cadillac's version of the Chevy Volt, a two-door coupe named ELR, would appear sometime in 2013. Today, Cadillac revealed it will debut the ELR at the Detroit auto show in January, and released a teaser image that, after some photo processing, shows a healthy amount of the plug-in hybrid's styling. Per Cadillac's new design, the ELR has softer lines than the Converj concept it will be based on, but the overall silhouette remains close to the show car. What's left to know: whether the ELR will offer any improvements on the Volt's electric powertrain, and how much Cadillac will ask for style.
