UPDATE: According to numerous sources, the BBC suspended Jeremy Clarkson after the Top Gear host allegedly punched a male producer in an incident last week. Two more episodes may be postponed pending an investigation.

Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended by the BBC yet again following a dispute with a producer at "Top Gear" — and the world's most popular car show will be off the air this week because of it.

“Following a fracas with a BBC producer Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended pending an investigation," the BBC said in a statement. "No one else has been suspended. Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday. The BBC will be making no further comment at this time.”

According to The Independent, the BBC’s director of television, Danny Cohen, last year “ordered a sweeping internal investigation into Top Gear” after numerous allegations of racism and diplomatic faux pas. The latest controversy came last October, when a number plate used on Clarkson’s Porsche during a trip to Argentina was believed by veterans there as a a reference to the Falklands War between Argentina and the United Kingdom, sparking violent protests. (The car had been bought in Britain, where license plates transfer with ownership.)
