2014 Honda Civic Hybrid On Sale Today, Natural Gas In 10 Days

Honda has finished revamping the compact Civic compact lineup with the relaunch of its two greenest models.

The refreshed 2014 Honda Civic Hybrid sedan goes on sale today with slightly higher fuel-economy ratings, while the 2014 Civic Natural Gas hits showrooms in 10 days.

Equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and CVT, working with a single electric motor and 20-kilowatt lithium-ion battery pack, the 2014 Civic Hybrid is EPA-rated at 45 mpg combined (44 mpg city, 47 mpg highway).

The combined and highway figures are up slightly from last year's model, which was rated at 44 mpg in all three categories.

The 2014 Civic Hybrid starts at $25,425 (including destination). The equipment level is similar to that of the 2013 Civic Hybrid, with the notable addition of a standard Display Audio system with 7-inch touchscreen.

Option packages featuring leather seats and navigation bump the price to $26,925 and $26,625, respectively. A fully-loaded car with all available options will cost $28,125.
