2015 Ford Cars Overview

There's significant news coming out of the Ford car lineup this year, as a totally redesigned 2015 Mustang makes its debut, accented by all-new but still recognizable styling, independent rear suspension in lieu of the traditional solid axle, more powerful GT model with standard launch control, and a host of content upgrades. Enthusiasts may be concerned to hear that a 4-cylinder engine returns to the Mustang stable, though all fears should be allayed when they learn that this one is a 320-horsepower turbocharged EcoBoost.

While Ford was clearly busy overhauling its venerable muscle car, the company also found time to make a number of upgrades to its other models. The tiny Fiesta arrives with new colors and upholstery, Focus models offer revised styling and an available 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine, and the midsize Fusion sedan ups its game by way of a standard rearview camera and expanded availability of all-wheel drive (AWD). As for the full-size Taurus, it moves a variety of amenities into the standard column.

2015 Ford C-Max

As this article is written, Ford has not released details about the 2015 C-Max.

The front-wheel-drive (FWD) 2014 C-Max wagon is available in Hybrid and plug-in Energi trim levels, with the latter offering an electric-only driving range of up to 19 miles and the former earning EPA ratings of 42 mpg in the city, 37 mpg on the highway, and 40 mpg combined.

2015 Ford Fiesta

One model year after introducing an all-new 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine, the compact Ford Fiesta returns with just a few relatively minor changes. These include a new paint color, upgraded upholstery, and optional 16-in. alloy wheels for the mid-level Fiesta SE. Base S, top-of-the-line Titanium, and high-performance ST variants are also available.

2015 Ford Focus

Following the lead of the smaller Fiesta, the 2015 Ford Focus adds a turbocharged, 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine to its lineup, which, despite its small displacement, produces 123 horsepower and 148 lb.-ft. of torque. The Focus is also offered with a 160-horsepower, naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine, while the high-performance Focus ST is treated to a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that delivers 252 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque.

In addition to powertrain changes, the 2015 Focus arrives with updated styling, retuned suspension designed to improve ride and handling, a quieter cabin, standard rearview camera, and safety options such as lane-keep assist and a blind-spot monitoring system. Ford has also tweaked the Sync infotainment system with enhanced functionality and improved voice recognition.
