Ford Adds Sport to 2015 Focus ST

A performance-tuned version of the Focus 5-door hatchback, the 2015 Ford Focus ST receives a number of improvements this year. From exterior styling enhancements to additional standard equipment, the latest Focus ST is designed to make the drive as enjoyable as the destination.

For 2015, Ford says it wanted the Focus ST to appear "sportier and more aggressive." The automaker restyled the front and rear ends of the car, added a new Magnetic Metallic paint color, and now offers black or red striping options with color-matched side mirror caps. New, gray-painted 18-in. aluminum wheels are standard, with red-painted brake calipers available as an option.

New steering and suspension tuning is designed to make the 2015 Focus ST more fun to drive. Ford Team RS, the automaker's European group of engineers, retuned the car's shock absorbers and installed new front springs, and revised the electric steering in order to improve feel.

The 2015 Focus ST continues to employ a turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine making 252 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 270 lb.-ft. of torque at 2,500 rpm. A member of Ford's EcoBoost family of engines, the Focus ST's power plant accelerates the car to 60 mph in about 6 seconds while returning 26 mpg in combined driving, according to Ford.
