'McQueen: The Man & Le Mans' Set For November Release

In his passion project Le Mans, Steve McQueen's character Michael Delaney famously says "Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting." Though it didn't resonate with audiences in theaters in the years since its release, Le Mans has become a classic of gearhead cinema. The production, however, was legendarily troubled. Significant portions were shot sans script, and the plot takes a clear back seat to the roar of Porsche 917s and Ferrari 512s, so the story suffers—even if the actual racing footage is some of the most gripping and authentic rendered on film.
