1984 Talbot Matra Featured At Branson Auction

This is one of the most unknown collector cars, and it’s being auctioned off now at the Branson Auction.

With the auction starting in just a few moments now, we wanted to share one of the most unique, and unheard of cars on the books. We stumbled across this car during a preview day, and can’t believe there’s still cars out there that many people don’t know exist, including some on our team, until last night. This 1984 Talbot Matra is one of only two known to exist in the United States, and it’s up for grabs - can you resist adding it to your collection?

The Talbot-Matra is known as the French version of the well-known German sports car, the Porsche. Talbot-Matra, a French automobile manufacturer made these unique cars from 1980 through to only 1983. During the limited three year production cycle, the automaker had only produced just over 10,600 of the Murena sports cars.

Powering the Matra series of sports cars is an inline four cylinder 2.2-liter engine. The engine is mounted aft and transverse in the rear wheel drivecar, which produces 118-horsepower and is backed by a 5-speed manual transmission. It has a top speed of 113 miles per hour.

Interestingly, this 1984 Talbot Matra has unique three across seating, like that seen only in cars like certain McLaren models. A glass partition separates the seating from the engine compartment. This example has just over 3,000 miles on the clock, and has been kept in the auto museum in Petit Jean Arkansas. With bidding starting soon, run to the ad to register to bid on this lot here!
