Aston Martin DB11 Successor Gets a Much-Needed Interior Update

Aston Martin plans to launch the successor to its DB11 on May 24, with a trio of teaser images giving a first look at the next DB-branded grand tourer.

The British luxury carmaker did not publish any specifications or performance numbers for the next DB car, saying only that it will be the car "spearheading Aston Martin's next generation of sports cars" and that it will "break free from the norms of the GT sector, creating a new category of one celebrating 75 years of Aston Martin’s iconic DB bloodline of exceptional hand-built British sports cars."

The photo above shows a top-down head-on shot of the car, where we can see a revised fascia with new headlights. There's also a profile shot to highlight the car's elegant body lines, and an interior photo showing off a much-needed update with modern controls.

It's unclear at this time whether the new DB-branded grand tourer will offer a V-12 engine, as it has for the past 28 years. The current DB11 offers buyers a choice between a twin-turbo V-8 or a twin-turbo V-12, but the onset of electrification thanks to ever-increasing regulations could mean downsizing for the legendary GT line. With a reveal before the end of the month, we won't have to wait long to find out for sure.
