Ford Mustang FP800S Concept Previews 800 HP Supercharger Kit

It was only a matter of time before Ford threw a supercharger atop the latest Coyote. If you wanted a sportier stablemate for your supercharged F-150, Ford is showing off a blower kit for its latest generation Mustang on the FP800S Concept at the 2023 SEMA show. This supercharged Mustang also sports a series of supporting modifications that you might also want if you decide to throw a supercharger on top of your new Mustang’s 5.0.

The supercharger kit comes with, well, just about everything you need to supercharge a Mustang. The kit includes the supercharger, an intercooler, and upgraded fuel injectors. Alongside the injectors, there’s a new fuel rail, a bigger throttle body, and a dual air intake system. The kit also includes a flash tuner to help you squeeze 800 hp out of your 5.0-liter V8 and a warranty. Just like the kit for the F-150, if this supercharge kit is installed by a dealer or ASE-certified technician, your modified Mustang will now sport a three-year or 36,000-mile warranty.

Joining this supercharger kit, this 2024 Mustang GT coupe sports Ford Performance half shafts, a lowering kit, and a Borla cat-back exhaust. With a new supercharger atop its V8, the upgraded half shafts might help you enjoy the Mustang’s newfound performance, without leaving you stranded on the side of the road.

Pricing for the kit is still to be determined, but Ford says you can expect it to hit the Ford Performance shelves early next year. Considering the supercharger kit for the F-150 with a similarly sized 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger sets you back $9,500, you can expect this Mustang kit will be at least similarly expensive. However, this Mustang kit comes with even more hardware, which likely means it will be even more money.
