The quest for hypercar manufacturers to push the production vehicle speed record ever higher continues, this time with Hennessey taking its shot. The Texas shop reportedly will be using its Venom F5 to officially log a speed of 300 mph.

The Brabus Rocket 1000 is a true supercar sedan.

Even though that’s the goal, we wouldn’t be surprised if Hennessey pushes further, aiming to match or best the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+’s record of 304.77 mph set back in the summer of 2019. After all, those two have quite the rivalry going and we don’t expect that to come to a close anytime soon.

Then there’s Swedish boutique automaker Koenigsegg which has set a number of speed records, including the Regera once again coming out on top for the 0-400-0 kmh back in June of 2023, snatching away Rimac’s temporary crown.
