Formula E will be plugging in at Portland International Raceway in 2023.

A race for the all-electric open-wheel Formula E cars will be held June 24 at the Portland track—pending final approvals—and replaces a temporary circuit in Brooklyn, N.Y., on the Formula E calendar. The series raced in Brooklyn from 2017 through 2022. The 2020 race in Brooklyn was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 1.967-mile Portland International Raceway circuit also hosts the NTT IndyCar Series in September. The Portland Formula E race will be Round 12 of a 16-race season that begins on Jan. 14 in Mexico City.

Portland's place on the schedule was given preliminary approval by the FIA World Motor Sport Council today in Italy. Portland will become the fourth U.S. city to host Formula E, joining New York (Brooklyn), Long Beach (2015-16) and Miami (2015).
