All-time IndyCar pole record holder and 2022 series champion Will Power's racing season has been over since September and will not resume again until March. That long offseason leaves plenty of time out of a car, so Power has spent some time racing karts in events like the SKUSA SuperNationals. A few weeks ago, one of those karting races took an unfortunate turn.

In an onboard video shared on social media by Power, he can be seen racing for position with another driver when a third competitor gets up inside his line in one right-hand corner. Power holds his line and attempts to hold his position into the next corner when the two karts seemingly make contact off-screen, instantly launching Power diagonally into the air. He then rolls into the nearby grass once.
