The RUF BTR is a thing of legend, yet it’s believed a mere ten were built using the 993-generation Porsche 911s. One of them is headed to the auction block this weekend and as you might imagine, expectations of what it might fetch are high with the auction house expecting somewhere between $950,000 and $1,100,000 once all is said and done.

An original 1967 Ford GT40 is auctioning this weekend as well.

This 1998 RUF BTR not only has standout looks, thanks to its cosmetic modifications and that undeniably cool Adrian Blue, it has the performance chops to back it up and then some.

Boosting the 3.6-liter engine to produce 420-horsepower and 435 lb.-ft. of torque was achieved by RUF engineers adding aggressive forced induction to the equation. More specifically, a single KKK K27 turbo provides 11.6 psi, with a custom air-to-air intercooler, modified cams, and Bosch Motronic Engine Management system capitalizing on the forced feeding.

While that kind of power is most definitely impressive, the claimed 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph was more than impressive in the late 90s and is still nothing to sneeze at today.
