The VW ID. AERO Previews a Sleek New EV Sedan

Volkswagen revealed the ID. AERO concept on Monday. It's a sleek, mid-size concept sedan that the company says previews an upcoming production car.

The new sedan—which will effectively replace the discontinued Passat—will be the brand's next global EV, following the ID.4 crossover as one of the Volkswagen brand's new key nameplates. The car will launch first in China next year, with European production starting shortly thereafter. The U.S. market will get European-built versions of the sedan.
