Remember the company that built Arnold Schwarzenegger an all-electric Mercedes G-Wagen? Well, it's at it again with an all-electric Porsche 910. Wait, what? It's called the Kreisel Evex 910e, and you can buy one for just €1,000,000 ($1,065,000 USD).

Sticking an all-electric drivetrain in a replica Porsche 910–which originally used either a flat-six or flat-eight–is truly bizarre, but cool all the same. It also required a lot of work by Kreisel, the company making the drivetrain, and Evex, the company that builds the rest. The frame had to be modified to fit the powertrain, and additional accommodations for cooling had to be made, since the original 910 used air-cooled engines.

The 910e uses a 53kWh battery pack connected to a 360-kW (~483-hp) electric motor, which powers the car to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds and to a top speed higher than 186 mph. The 910e's 2425-lb curb weight is significantly heavier than the original 910's 1300 lbs, but it's impressive for a powerful EV.

You can charge the 910e on a 100kW circuit, but more interestingly, the car can also store energy and power your house, if needed. You can think of this as a very expensive, Porsche 910-shaped energy storage solution that also happens to drive.

We're not really sure who's going to buy this $1 million oddball, but it's very impressive regardless. You can see it in person at Germany's Techno-Classica show this weekend.
