This 1967 Porsche 911S Is Purpose-Built for Canyon Roads

From Road & Track

With early air-cooled Porsche 911s continuing to climb in value, we're going to start seeing more and more of them restored to perfection, but only for display on a concours lawn. That's a shame because these 1960s 911s were excellent to drive in stock form and with a few modifications, they're as good on a backroad as anything.

For that reason, we really dig what prolific Porsche collector Magnus Walker has done with 1967 911S. It's still a numbers matching car, but it's been modified to suit California's canyon roads to perfection. That means shorter gearing, super sticky tires, and a more aggressive suspension setup.

It's a modern take on the classic road-going 911 racer, and we're happy to see it out where it truly belongs–on a twisty road.
