This numbers-matching muscle car is auctioning online now.

For many, there will never be a more desirable and pure muscle car as this 1970 Pontiac Trans Am. It’s a highly desirable model year with the sought-after Ram Air H.O. V8, plus everything restored to look and run excellently. What’s more, this numbers-matching Pontiac isn’t some cobbled-together mess, adding further to its value. Offered through Premier Auction Group, we have no doubt serious collectors will be drooling over this one.

We’ll start with the star of the show, the L74 400ci Ram Air V8. For the 1970 model year it was the top-tier engine choice everyone wanted but few were lucky enough to get. With a 4 barrel carb and wide-ratio 3-speed automatic transmission, plus 335-horsepower on tap, this was one hot ride for its time and is still an entertaining muscle car to take for a spin today.

According to the listing, this Trans Am has 91,000 miles on it. A full restoration through the Trans Am experts at Restore A Muscle Car in Lincoln, Nebraska has the Lucerne Blue paint absolutely sparkling as if this were a nearly brand-new vehicle. All the right factory trim pieces are present, plus you get that telltale Shaker hood scoop and White Stripe Package.

Also looking next to new, the black interior comes with plenty of factory details, like the gauges, seats, and switchgear. Power steering, power brakes, a limited-slip rear differential, AM radio, rear seat speaker, factory center console, and rear defroster are all included as well. According to the seller, everything works and this Pontiac runs great.

Not many people opted for the Ram Air engine in 1970 and even fewer chose the automatic transmission to go with it. That combination makes this 1970 Pontiac Trans Am a rare car fit for any collection. If you’re interested, register to bid right now.
