Up until its 8th generation, the Corvette’s 6th generation held the title as the most influential Corvette of all time and really took America’s Sports Car to a whole new level.

For the 2005 model year, Chevrolet completely reworked the Corvette. Among the changes for the new generation was an all new and shorter bodywork that featured fixed lights for the first time since 1962, a larger more powerful V8 engine under the hood, and a revised suspension system. In addition to all of these changes, Chevrolet also revived two iconic packages - The Z06 and the ZR1. While the C6 Z06, debuting in 2008, featured the most powerful naturally aspirated engine that GM made, the ZR1 Package that followed in 2009 pushed the Corvette even further with a 6.2-liter LS9 supercharged engine. This made the Corvette code named “Blue Devil” the most capable Corvette ever made.
