From Road & Track

We already know that the 2015 Mustang GT350 and GT350R will come in extremely limited numbers: Only 100 GT350s and 37 GT350Rs will be produced for the 2015 model year. Ford still hasn't released base pricing information for this short run of 2015s, but the fans over at the Mustang6G forum seem to have sussed out the price of every option package for this year's models.

Standard internet caveats apply: This is unverified information, published by people operating anonymously on a fan forum under self-chosen pseudonyms. Don't take it as gospel, and don't do anything foolish based on what essentially amounts to forum rumors. Also, this info only seems to apply to the very limited run of 2015 model year GTs; things could change with the 2016 model year.

That said, here's the breakdown, as provided by Mustang6G poster "Five Oh Brian":

2015 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Option Pricing:

  • Tech Package: $7,500

  • Track Package: $6,500

  • Navigation: $795

  • Black Roof: $695

  • Triple Yellow Paint: $495

  • Over-The-Top Stripes: $475

2015 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R—R package adds $3,500, plus the following options:

  • SVT Touring Package: $3,000

  • Navigation: $795

  • Black Roof: $695

  • Over-The-Top Stripes: $475

Most of this confirms the standard and optional equipment breakdowns we learned from the Mustang GT350 and GT350R ordering guides that leaked in January. As reported back then, the standard GT350 can be optioned with either a Tech Package, including MagneRide adjustable suspension, heavy-duty front shocks, selectable drive modes, power leather seats, a SYNC 3-powered infotainment system, and dual-zone climate control; or the Track Package with MagneRide, heavy-duty front springs, and drive modes, plus engine/trans/differential coolers and strut tower bracing, but none of the other Tech Package options.

Here's where things get a little muddled: Forum posters are unclear on why navigation carries a separate item price, despite the order guide indicating that nav is included in the Tech Package. And the $3,500 price bump from GT350 to GT350R seems very small, considering that the R package includes all of the Track Package goodies (MagneRide, selectable drive modes, and a trio of oil coolers) plus carbon fiber wheels, front carbon ceramic brakes, unique chassis tuning and R-specific aero bits.

The R package does delete the rear seat, climate control, and all the in-dash infotainment, which might trim some of the cost of the upgrade. And it seems like the "SVT Touring Package" indicated for the GT350R is a new name for the optional "Electronics Package" seen on the earlier leaked ordering guide, which includes all the electronics deleted from the base-model R-package: navigation, a 7-speaker stereo, SYNC 3 infotainment system, and dual-zone climate control.

The full seven-page ordering guide, leaked back in January, is embedded below. Ford is not commenting on the alleged option pricing for right now, but we will update this post once official base and option pricing is revealed.
