2016 Nissan Sentra recalled for electrical glitch
Nissan is recalling select Nissan Sentra vehicles from the 2016 model year to fix a potential electrical problem that could boost the chances of a crash.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the terminal pin on the Sentra's engine room harness may be too large to maintain its connection with the engine control unit. If the harness and the engine control unit separate, the Sentra may not start at all, or it could stall in traffic, increasing the risk of a collision.

The pin was supplied by supplied by Mexico's Arnecom.
Thankfully, the number of vehicles affected by the problem is fairly small. The recall includes 2016 Nissan Sentra models built between April 11, 2016 and April 26, 2016. Nissan believes that there are 1,522 of those vehicles in the U.S.

Nissan will mail recall notices to owners by August 26, 2016. At that time, owners will be able to schedule service at their local dealerships, where the Sentra's terminal pin will be replaced.
