Exterior Rating:

The Accord’s new exterior is designed to look upscale and sporty, and we’re inclined to say that it achieved those goals. The muscle-car-inspired downturned nose and the large chrome bar that runs across the top of the grille may not be for everyone, but they certainly set the Accord apart. And we appreciate the restrained exterior detailing, which we find more tasteful than some of Honda’s other recent offerings.

Exterior Dimensions

The Accord is now slightly shorter in both length and height compared with last year’s model, but it has gained almost half an inch in width. Those minor changes are intended to make the Accord’s profile seem sportier, and, combined with the new long, curved hood, it certainly works.

Exterior Features

The Accord is roughly the same size as its competitors, and all of these mid-size sedans can slip easily through city traffic and into parking spots.
