This Is the 2018 Land Rover Discovery

From Road & Track

The new Land Rover Discovery won't be officially revealed until tomorrow, but so far, it hasn't done a very good job of hiding. Back in August, we found a prototype hiding in a parking lot nearly undisguised. Then Land Rover released a teaser that showed off the Discovery's front end. Today, photos leaked showing us pretty much the entire car.

Car Advice found a brochure for the new Discovery on Land Rover's Australian website. The top shot shows a car that looks much more like the rest of the lineup than the current Discovery. It also looks much less like an off-road-ready Kia Soul than the teaser would have you believe.

Expect the new Discovery to be lighter than its 5780-lb. predecessor thanks to extensive use of aluminum and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Based on the screen shots Car Advice was able to capture, you can expect Land Rover's latest seven-seater to still be plenty capable off-road, as well.

And if the regular Discovery is a little too tame for you, we also hear Jaguar-Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations team is working on an even-more-adventurous Discovery SVX.
