2018 Toyota Camry SE 2.5L – Instrumented Test

In the world of family sedans, the Camry rules-at least if you go by annual sales. (It's been the best-selling sedan in America for almost two decades.) But we go by how well a car satisfies its mission, and the Camry now does a good enough job of that to earn an Editors' Choice pick. The latest version of the Camry, introduced in 2018, shows signs of trying to be more than a completely capable but totally anonymous appliance. It drives with a solid feel, is roomy and comfy inside, and offers a plethora of luxuries, along with Toyota's Safety Sense package of active safety features. The XSE V-6 version is even a little sporty. But the Camry is first and foremost still a foolproof automobile that's a very safe buy; you're never taking a chance when you purchase one.
