Audi is bestowing some minor updates on its bread-and-butter A4 sedan for 2019-and we really do mean minor. The car gets a few changes to its front and rear fascias to keep it looking fresh, but it won’t be any different under the skin or inside.

The car you’re looking at in the photos is a Europe-market A4 with a new S line Competition package that we’re told won’t be coming to the States. The updates that we will see include the reshaped front bumper and lower fascia, as well as the revised rear bumper, which incorporates new dual exhaust outlets. There’s also a new S line black interior package available for the Euro car, and it’s unclear if something like this will make its way to our shores or not.

Expect the 2019 A4 to maintain the same powertrain lineup, which consists of two turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinders in varying levels of strength. The economy-minded A4 Ultra comes with front-wheel drive and a 190-hp version of the engine, while the upgrade powertrain is a 252-hp version of the engine paired with Quattro all-wheel drive and either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. We should learn more U.S.-specific details on the 2019 Audi A4 soon, including pricing, so stay tuned.
