The Q3 Premium Plus starts at $38,795 and the Prestige starts at $43,895. We've already seen and driven Euro-spec versions of the redesigned Audi Q3, and we now have more information about its launch in the U.S. Audi says that the Q3, the smallest crossover in Audi's lineup, will arrive in America this summer. Photos and information about the U.S.-spec car have now been added to Audi's consumer website.

While the Q3 in Europe offers a multitude of engine options, the only combination available to Americans will be a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard Quattro all-wheel drive. This engine will make 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, significant increases of 28 horsepower and 51 lb-ft compared with the old Q3's 2.0-liter engine. This should make for significantly improved performance; the last Q3 we tested went from zero to 60 mph in a lackluster 7.8 seconds and came in last place in a comparison against the Mercedes-Benz GLA, Infiniti QX30, BMW X1, and Lexus NX.

Available tech features on the U.S. model will include Audi's Virtual Cockpit, a 12.3-inch display screen in the instrument cluster; a 10.1-inch central touchscreen with Audi's latest MMI infotainment software; a 360-degree camera view; and active-safety features including blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. The new Q3 starts at $35,895, making it a bit more expensive than its predecessor (which started at $33,875) but that's explained by the new car's now-standard Quattro AWD.

Look for more information about the new Q3 to come over the next few months.
